recently turns two

My beloved blog's anniversary came and went last week on Valentine's Day.  Since I didn't have time then to put together a post that showed my love for such a wonderful past year, I decided today was better late than never.

Some of your favorite posts from last year surprised me, like this post on how to style boyfriend jeans.  Who knew?  It's been the most popular post of all time here on the blog, and, I must say, one of my most favorite to put together.

Your second favorite post on Recently last year was my favorite of all time: the DIY snakeskin table.  Of course, I loved it, but I was amazed at just how much you all loved it!  My trash-to-treasure table even made it to Apartment Therapy's Best of 2012.  So cool.

I owe the popularity of my No Sew Fabric Trimmed Curtain tutorial to Pinterest.  I'm hoping this tutorial has helped lots of you give your own curtains some flair, and thanks for pinning the crap out of it too! :)

And, finally, your favorite post of Recently's first year made it to the top of this year's favorites as well.  My first ever "big" project, and still a favorite: the Bookcase Project.  I'll never forget when my lonely little blog got mentioned on High Street Market for this project, and my head almost exploded from the sheer excitement.  Those three pieces of painted foam core will always have a special place in my heart.  **sniff**
