I'm so excited for today's post! I finally get to show off my friend Lindsay's home- a post that's literally bean years in the making. I won't bore you with the details, but I'll just say that life got in the way as the renovations took place, and after. If you're new to the "Recently Renovating" series (and you probably are since I believe I had, ummm, two readers back then) you'll want to get caught up on Lindsay and her mad skills with this introductory post- I show some pics of her last house there as well, so you'll get an idea of what this gal can do!
Here are a few before shots, as well as a peek into the demoed space. As you can see, the old floors were romoved, as was, well, almost everything else- down to the studs and then some. I can feel my heart rate rising just thinking of the possibilites!
Alright folks, now that you've learned about the project and seen Linds's diamond in the rough before...prepare to feast your eyes on the after:
It doesn't even look like the same house! The overgrown ivy was removed from the front, to reveal the gorgeous stone behind it. After new windows, a new front door, new garage door, and pillars to mark the entry, the house is inviting and warm.
Speaking of inviting...I'm so in love with this little entry nook. It was once a coat closet, but Lindsay decided to reinvent it into a chic spot for artwork and favorite pieces. If only all coat closets could be this glamorous!
Lindsay brings her antique finds to life with lovely vignettes and artwork that's to die for. I also have major crushes on almost every light fixture in her home. Case in point- this entry fixture that's nothing short of amazing. Lindsay's soon to be getting me sources for all the goodies you see here, and I'll update as soon as I get all the juicy details.
Our next installment will show off the new dining and formal living areas, and you don't want to miss it. I'll just say "jaw dropping" and leave it at that. Have a fantastic Wednesday friends!
